Hi, I am Casey!

August Favorites

August Favorites

“My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious recourse we all have is time.” -Steve Jobs

August was fill with loads of happiness, indulgences, and experiences. Unfortunately, I cannot name all the wonderful things. However, I have narrowed down the ten items that really were at the top on my list. I love them loads, use them often and here they are:

  1. People! - So if you follow me on any platform you probably know I just started college and I am absolutely loving it. I am so grateful to be at such an amazing place, surrounded my so many wonderful, kind, and wholesome people. I have not found my people yet or a group but that comes with time. So coming in as my #1 are the people and friends I have met!

  2. Grasshopper Smoothie- There is this place called Livite in Harvard square in Brookline and I am obsessed with their Grasshopper smoothies. This smoothie literally tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream. I honestly have never had a better smoothie. I don’t even know how it can be so good but you be the judge….if you are in the mood to try a smoothie, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT!!

  3. Roller Rabbit Pajamas - I am obsessed with these pajamas. They actually are the most comfortable pjs and I feel so cute in them. If you know me, you know, I wear matching pjs to bed every night and these have been an all time favorite.

  4. Pranamat ECO - Okay so this mat is really growing on me. They look super interesting and some of the yogis in my Social Media Crushes post have them and love them so I thought I would try it out. I did a lot of research and thought it could really help me with my tight muscles and my back. For me it has definitely been beneficial but Pranamats are not for everyone so you have to really make sure it is for you before investing!

  5. Drives - It honestly has been pretty weird being at college and not really driving. Summer is my favorite time to go on drives. I love them so much I did a whole post about them. I miss them right now, but now i’ve been doing a lot more walking. Regardless, Drive were definitely an August highlight of mine.

  6. Blueberries - if you know me, you know I LOVE BLUEBERRIES…especially wild blueberries!! I could live off them and I constantly hear about how AMAZING they are for your health! I just love the way they taste, look and even smell! They are my favorite food!! I like them grilled too…you know like in pancakes…

  7. Airplane Mode - I recently went on a retreat in New Hampshire and learned so much about the way technology effects us humans. There were MANY suggestions made about how to live more safely with technology. One of the easiest things we can do is put our phones on airplane mode when we sleep. Your alarm will still go off but by doing this you will shut off some of the microwave radiation that is dispersed from your phone. Our phones have 4 ways that they distribute microwave radiation; WiFi, Cellular, GPS, and Bluetooth. You cannot turn off the GPS but you are able to turn off WiFi, Cellular and Bluetooth. Putting your phone on airplane mode when you sleep is such an easy and affective way to do this…especially if you keep it in your room/close to your bed. If you want to learn more here is a great resource.

  8. Coconut Oil - I have been really into coconut oil recently. So versatileI yeah? I use it as a lip moisturizer, on my toast, face moisturizer, a hair conditioner. I love it. It is an oil, but it is actually a solid at room temperature…it is kind of like butter…but healthier!!

  9. My Southern Charm, Deep South, or Good n’kind playlists- Recently I have been listening to country songs as I fall asleep. I’m a hopeless romantic and sometimes it’s nice to hear songs or stories that emphasize how true love happens. Hookup culture is weird. I love to hear my grandmothers stories about what dating was like when she was young. “He picked me up to go dancing” “We got ice cream and he walked me home” “We went to drive-in and shared a popcorn and a soda” Ugh…I know I’m an old soul and all but why did that all change? The culture is not the same anymore, I wish it was. But to the younger girls that read this blog, you can still be swept off your feet and you are worthy of that so never settle! Anyway these songs just really make me feel good and go to sleep dreaming about the kind of love I want…true love!

  10. The Lip Slip - I am so in love with this lip gloss, it is my favorite! I have had it for quite some time and would use it here and there but ever since I got to college it has been an essential!!

I hope these products bring you so much joy, confidence, and happiness! Make sure you let me know if you purchase or try any of them!

Love Always,

Casey
